Abstract

Abstract: This jurnal explores the complex relationship between neuroscience and social sciences in understanding human behavior. It highlights the dominance of neuroscientific approaches, which often simplify human behavior into biological processes, and the limitations this creates in explaining the social, cultural, and historical dimensions of human life. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing critical literature review and comparative analysis of studies from both neuroscience and social sciences to examine their respective contributions and limitations. The article emphasizes the importance of an interdisciplinary approach that combines the strengths of neuroscience with the contextual insights provided by social sciences. Through a critical analysis of how both disciplines interact, this article argues for the necessity of integrating these perspectives to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of human behavior. The conclusion underscores that while neuroscience offers valuable insights into the biological mechanisms of behavior, social sciences remain essential in addressing the broader, more complex dimensions of human existence, and that interdisciplinary collaboration is key to bridging epistemological gaps.
