Keywords:. Customary Law, Banjar, IslamAbstract
Banjar customary law is a law that lives in the midst of Banjar society where it is greatly influenced by Islamic law and culture. However, the process of forming the Banjar community is not only limited to the influence of Islam. Based on several literary sources that have been successfully collected, acculturation with local cultures such as the Ngaju, Maanyan, and Bukit tribes also plays an important role in creating a unique Banjar culture. This process not only forms the social structure, but also colors the traditions, language, and way of life of the Banjar people. The acculturation builds a foundation for Banjar culture that remains strong and relevant in modern life, as well as a reflection of the rich history and dynamics of the people of South Kalimantan. Banjar customary law itself Although it is not written, this customary law has been accommodated in several documents and writings, such as the Sultan Adam Law of 1835 and the Kitab Sabilal Muhtadin by Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjary
