IMPLEMENTASI TRADISI BHAKAL EKOAKOAGHI DALAM PERTUNANGAN PERSPEKTIF MASLAHAT MURSALAH (STUDI KASUS DI DESA RANDUAGUNG KECAMATAN SUMBERJAMBE KABUPATEN JEMBER)

The Bhakal EkoAkoaghi tradition is a matchmaking practice in Randuagung Village, Sumberjambe District, Jember Regency, conducted from before birth until adulthood as a form of engagement bond. This study aims to understand the process of this tradition and analyze it through the perspective of Maslahah Mursalah. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, using interviews, observations, and documentation with religious figures, families, and local communities. The findings show that this tradition is carried out between two families related by blood but not mahram, with one being economically stronger. It serves social and spiritual functions by strengthening kinship and maintaining harmony. From the Maslahah Mursalah perspective, the tradition brings benefits if practiced voluntarily and aligned with Islamic ethical principles.
